Corneal topography

Synonym(s) - Corneal Topography - Videokeratography

 

Definition: Measurement of the anterior surface of the cornea, its curvature and shape. It is often used to diagnose keratoconus and other corneal diseases, as well as changes to the cornea after keratotomy and keratoplasty. An important application is contact lens fitting. Many different techniques can be used to perform corneal topography: keratometry, keratoscopy, photokeratoscopy, profile photography, computer-assisted image processing, videokeratography, etc.
